Agito has found their new CEO.  Amit Chawla has taken the job.  Agito has been looking at least since June, when they brought on David Leonard as Executive Chairman.  Likely longer.  I have nothing on which to base this supposition except my years in recruiting but I would guess they wanted David for the CEO role if he would have taken it.  Either way it is good that they have Amit on board as David will presumably be spending more time on the LED lighting deal he just got funded. 

I'd criticise the length of this search but I know how having a client who's heart is set on somebody who won't be taking the job can slow things down, and Amit, based on his past experiences seems like a solid find. 

The announcement as reported in that first link did make me laugh though when it said that Amit would "bring his experience at Nortel and Veraz to Agito to instill an atmosphere of discipline and nimbleness."  While Nortel and nimble both start with N I wouldn't rank nimbleness as one of their top ten virtues.  Of course, at NexVerse Amit was nimble enough to find a path to success in the combination that created Veraz.  He must have learned it somewhere, but was it really at Nimble Nortel?
